About the Digital Archive

The National Museum of the Pacific War's Digital Archive includes collections from the Nimitz Education and Research Center archives.  The archives of the National Museum of the Pacific War hold thousands of manuscripts, official documents, photographs and recorded interviews with Pacific War veterans. Recognizing that these collections are an invaluable resource for historians and students of history, we established the Nimitz Education and Research Center, a premier destination for scholars of Pacific War history.

The Digital Archive is a major initiative of the Nimitz Education and Research Center.  The Admiral Nimitz Foundation supports and operates the National Museum of the Pacific War, a property owned by the Texas Historical Commission. The National Museum of the Pacific War is the only museum in the nation dedicated entirely to the story of World War II in the Pacific.
